Filling Machine

On our website you can find a wide range of Used filling machines. This filling machines takes care of container such as bottles or cans. We mainly deal with automatic used filling machines and semi-automatic machines. On the market there are various models of used filling equipment that change mainly according to the type of product that is bottled. For example, fill sparkling wine is different than one than only still products, then will need different equipment. In addition, based on the production speed of the automatic bottle filling machine, there are linear or rotary fillers; which differ in the number of bottles that are produced hourly; or in the space they occupy or even the cost, etc.

Filling machine: what it does in practice

A filling machine is not simply a “filling machine”. During the process it must absolutely not modify the physical organoleptic properties of the product that is working such as water, wine, beer, milk and oil. The used bottle filling machine for sale for this product have different system and rules. The automatic filling machine must therefore have a system and components; that are consistent and respectful of all health and hygiene regulations required by current regulations. During the entire phase, the automatic machine must avoid doing essentially these four things.
  • Pollute the product
  • Oxidize the product
  • Alter the quantity of the product
  • Alter the quality of the product
To give a stable rule, the time between filling and capping must be as short as possible; we speak of seconds, in which nothing must come into contact with the content. The filling machine consists of a variable number of taps or nozzles; from which the product flows directly into the bottle container, brick etc So we have different proposal for wine machine for sale; water bottle filling machine for sale, soda, milk, beer; used pet bottle filling machine for sale, juice filling machine machine for sale.

Filling machine: types and methods

Depending on the type of product that is being bottled, the filling process will differ. Filling a wine bottle is done differently than a tea can or milk carton. For this reason, the filling methods are divided into:
  1. Gravity or gravity fill – slight depression
  2. Vacuum or depression
  3. Volumetric
  4. Isobaric or counterpressure
  5. Hot fill
  6. Aseptic
  • Weight or gravity filling / light depression filling

The product flows into the bottle by the force of gravity through a valve which is activated when the bottle reaches the filling station. At the same time, the air in the bottle escapes through a vent tube. When the liquid reaches the lower end of the vent tube, the filling is interrupted because the air can no longer escape. Gravity filling is ideal for filling still wine or liqueur in glass bottles. After the pre-evacuation phase, the filling valve opens and the product to be filled can be directed into the container by means of a system that allows for gentle filling, that is, without causing turbulence in the product. During filling, the inert gas present in the container returns to the tank and when the product level in the container reaches the nozzle, filling stops and the valve closes.
  • Vacuum or depression filling

In vaccum or depression filling, when the filling nozzle is inserted into the empty container, the bottle gets sealed and the air in the bottle is removed using a vacuum pump. The vacuum in the bottle then pulls liquid into the bottle until the product reaches the predetermined filling level. This system is suitable for wine and spirits since no aroma or alcohol content are lost.
  • Volumetric filling

In volumetric filling, the volume of the liquid is measured. One of the filling valves is equipped with a magnetic flow meter which measures the volume transferred to the container. Electronics allows you to quantify the time required to fill the desired quantity of product. All the other filling valves are pneumatically managed on the basis of the time defined by the valve with the magnetic flow meter.
  • Isobaric or counter pressure filling

An isobaric filling machine allows the processing of champagne, spumante, sparkling wines, still wines and carbonated drinks. With isobaric filling systems champagne, spumante and sparkling wines can be filled with optimized filling cycles to reduce downtime because there is no need for potential degassing in various stages of the production line. Still wines can be filled with overpressure, improving the quality of the filling and also reducing the system's energy consumption. Isobaric filling machine make it also possible to guarantee a zero increase of oxygen in the wine.
  • Hot filling

Hot filling is used for all those products that are not completely liquid e. g. tomato purée or fruit juices that have high quantities of organic substances, but also milk or cream. In practice, all those products with an expiration date of one week to ten days utilize hot filling. The process consists of filling the bottle at a temperature between 80 ° / 85 ° C, after which there is a nitrogen injection aimed at avoiding the implosion during cooling to room temperature. Many drinks need an aseptic container and the hot fill process has the advantage of using the heat of the product itself to make the container sterile.
  • Aseptic filling

Aseptic filling is a type of filling where the entire bottling process is carried out in a completely sterile, waterproof environment. It allows you to bottle a commercially sterile beverage in a technically sterile food plant. The entire production takes place in a germ-free environment where the food and packaging is sterilized separately and combined under aseptic conditions. A sterile environment is essential for aseptic filling, which exists precisely for filling sensitive products that have no self-protective measures against the proliferation of microorganisms.

Fillers: what to pay attention to

The filler is the machine that requires the most attention given its nature and importance during the bottling process. It must be sanitizable in its entirety with steel parts designed for food products and any spare parts that are in contact with food, whether they are rubber or metal. It is also very important to have a competent assistance service, with which you can schedule the maintenance to guarantee high standards in production and machine life for many years.

Filling machines that are part of a filling monoblock

A filler is a single machine that comes before the capping machine in the bottling line. However, if a filling machine is assembled together with other machines in a single block, it is called a filling monoblock or filling triblock, depending on the variants, i. e. depending on which machines share this single block. A filling monoblock usually starts with a filler and a capper which caps – closes  – the bottles immediately after being filled. There are various versions, with one or more capping systems or with a rinsing machine before the filling machine. We can generally say that a filling monoblock takes care of three functions, all essential during the bottling process. Rinsing, filling, capping.
