    The power of Soleva ™ in industrial cleaning is a direct consequence of the short time between the generation of the solution and its consumption. Soleva ™ generated on site allows the application of the oxidizing potential full of stabilized electrolytic hypochlorite, ensuring a high rate of reactivity at the highest purity available.

    Starches and proteins are quickly broken down by exposure to the solution, making them soluble in cleaning media. The solution is even more effective for breaking down cross-linked hydrocarbon complexes that form during high-temperature food processes, such as cooking, pasteurization or hot filling.

    NEKIMOL operating principle

    The NEKIMOL unit produces one batch of Soleva ™ cleaning and sanitizing solution through consolidated electrolysis of diluted salt water. NEKIMOL technology performs the following chemical process, using only water, salt and high DC electric current to form sodium hypochlorite in solution and hydrogen gas:
    NaCl + H2O + 2e- >NaOCl + H2.

    The whole process of setting under controlled conditions of NEKIMOL cell can be described with different reactions. At the beginning of the cycle, the raw material salt is completely dissolved in water, decomposing into sodium and chloride ions:
    NaCl → Na + + Cl.
    When a controlled low voltage current is applied to the electrolytic cell three parallel reactions result in the hypochlorite based oxidizing solution:
    2Cl- → Cl2 + 2e- (anode) e
    2H2O + 2e- → H2 + 2OH- (cathode) and subsequently,
    Cl2 + OH- → OCl- + Cl + H +.

    All of the above reactions occur simultaneously in the specially designed geometry of the NEKIMOL electrolysis cell under a finely controlled continuous electric current until the predetermined hypochlorite concentration is reached.
