Used Aseptic Filling Line SERAC for UHT Milk
Introduction to Used Aseptic Filling Line SERAC for UHT Milk
This aseptic filling line specifically handles UHT milk. It ensures maximum efficiency and hygiene in the bottling process through advanced technology. Additionally, this system uses next-generation filling valves and an electronic weigh filling system. These features ensure 100% variable filling flow and optimize machine performance. Moreover, Serac completely overhauled the line in 2022, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.
Product and Container Specifications
The line fills UHT milk with a maximum viscosity of 150 cPo at a filling temperature of 20°C. Furthermore, the containers have a nominal capacity of 1 L and an optional capacity of ½ L. They are made of HDPE with 3 or 6 layers. The containers feature a maximum diameter of 125 mm and a height ranging from 70 to 300 mm below the neck ring.
Closure System and Nominal Output
The line uses a heat-sealed cap system made of aluminum and plastic. Pre-irradiated reels supply these caps. Consequently, the line reaches a nominal production capacity of 18,000 bottles per hour for 1 L formats and 20,000 bottles per hour for 500 ml formats.
External Treatment of Containers
The process treats containers externally with a sterilizing solution based on PAA at 53°C. This treatment ensures effective decontamination before the containers enter the aseptic zone. This step is essential to maintain a controlled level of initial contamination.
Innovations in Aseptic Filling and Sealing
The SERAC line uses magnetic filling valves, eliminating contact between the bottle mouth and the filling valve. As a result, this design reduces retention zones and optimizes CIP and SIP cleaning phases. Similarly, the electronic weigh filling system ensures dosing accuracy and facilitates production management.
Aseptic Capping System
The capping process employs a twin-tool press that cuts and embosses aluminum/plastic caps from a lubricated reel. The system sterilizes the caps with a 6.5-second UV flash before application. When the machine stops, a device lifts the UV ramp to prevent overheating. Upon restart, it resets to operational position. The press synchronizes with the filling and sealing carousel, ensuring secure and hygienic closure.
Conclusion of the Used Aseptic Filling Line SERAC for UHT Milk
SERAC technology features simple circuitry and few moving parts in the product circuit. Therefore, this design reduces maintenance costs and improves laminar flow system efficiency. Each filling parameter is preset to suit the specific characteristics of the product. Consequently, this configuration ensures optimal filling and reduces the required headspace. The complete overhaul in 2022 ensures that this line represents an ideal solution for those seeking efficiency, precision, and asepsis in the UHT milk bottling process. In conclusion, the SERAC aseptic filling line offers numerous advantages, making it a superior choice for bottling UHT milk.
